  1. Welcome to the Lyran Stellar Federation!  We need your help
  2. desperately.  We have been at peace for hundreds of years.
  3. We now face a terrible enemy.  The Morte Star Empire is out
  4. there somewhere on our stellar periphery preparing an inva-
  5. sion armada.  Because of our strategic position in the GA-
  6. LACTIC TUNNEL the Morte must conquer our federation to have
  7. a path into the rest of the galaxy.  We have begun building
  8. our defenses, but since we have not fought a war in over 2
  9. centuries we no longer have the ability to command in tac-
  10. tical situations.  You have that ability.  Please take charge
  11. of our defenses and help stop the Morte empire.  Your ef-
  12. forts will not only save our federation, but your own plan-
  13. et.  Earth lies next in the Morte's path through the GALAC-
  14. TIC TUNNEL, and we are afraid your planet could offer no
  15. defense against the Morte power.
